Travis Middle School, established in 1955, is affiliated with the Temple Independent School District, a K-12 school district with more than 10 schools. It offers classes from grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes English, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, art, music, computer technology and physical education. It provides special education programs for the gifted students. It has a parent-teacher association that involves parents in various educational activities of the school.
