HistoryA & D Tests, Inc. originally incorporated in 1995, was established in 1991 by now president, Judy Williamson. While working for a SAMHSA certified laboratory, Ms. Williamson identified two critical needs for drug testing in the workplace. Too many specimens were being ruled fatal flaws by laboratories because they were submitted as medical specimens without legally defensible documentation. Employers were not averse to drug testing but critical of the cost due to time away from the workplace to facilitate the collection process. With these needs in mind, Alcohol & Drug Tests, later changed to A & D Tests, Inc., was established as a small woman-owned business dedicated to forensic specimen collection and on-site service.
