He served as President of the Houston Society of Otolaryngology and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Denton Cooley Cardiovascular Surgical Society, and the Harris County Medical Society. He has privileges at The Methodist Hospital, Methodist West Houston Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, and Texas Children's Hospital West Campus.

Dr. Garfield Johnson treats every patient like he would a member of his own family. He talks to you as if he has known you for years. Dr. Johnson attended the University of Michigan for medical school and completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery there as well.
