Maybe this stretch used to be scenic, but it's not any longer. There is always traffic, usually construction, and not much feeling of a quaint, bygone era along 494, as 59/69 looms loudly nearby. :(

I love this little stretch of road. It starts at "Black Cat Ridge" and runs north up to its intersection with US 59 (soon to be I-69, dude) At its head is Pop's Ice House, a fine establishment...
