The Watson Rare Native Plant Preserve is a 501c 3 non-profit organization located in Warren, Texas. Founded by the late Geraldine Watson, the preserve is home to a diverse collection of rare and endangered species of native plants, including orchids, carnivorous plants, and ferns. We were fortunate that we arrived and met 2 of the caretakers. We were warmly welcomed and given a paper map. We were also invited in to the "office" where there are photos of the vast variety...

This little spot doesn't have a website or even a phone number, but it's a really nice private preserve (open to the public) where you can see most of the geography of the Big Thicket in a single...
