Marion is a city in Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,099 at the 2000 census. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The city is named in for Marion Dove, whose grandfather, Joshua W. Young, owned a plantation that the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway passed through in 1877.
