The Victims Compensation Program is a program that is run by the city of Waterbury, Va. The program provides financial assistance, dental care and mental health counseling services to crime victims. It also includes transportation, crime scene cleanup and child care services. The Victims Compensation Program is funded through the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and Victim Compensation Grant from the Department of Justice. The program is administered by the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services, which offers support and technical assistance services. In addition, the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services organizes training sessions for advocates and professionals on victim- and survivor-related topics.
