Established in 1972, Browns River Middle School serves more than 450 students in grades five through eight. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, social studies, math, science, reading, and health and physical education. Browns River Middle School provides art, technology education, guidance, computer technology, and family and consumer science programs. The school operates academic, music and drama clubs. Browns River Middle School also offers a variety of sports activities that include soccer, field hockey, basketball, softball and baseball. The school is a part of the Chittenden East Supervisory Union, which serves approximately 3,035 students from six communities in the state of Vermont.
