Bias Studios, located just minutes outside of of Washington DC, is nationally renowned for both its facility and talented, experienced staff.Bias has been helping musicians sound their best for over 30 years as an established business, and for over 30 years when you count the early days in Mom's basement. This explains the true ground-up experience upon which the studio is based. Our engineers really know their jobs ; they can help you add a new dimension to the aspects of the business you know inside and out. When you have a studio and an engineer you trust, you can feel free to perform or produce at your best. This trust in Bias Studios and its staff, along with the comfortable, friendly atmosphere, is why artists come back time and again.Bias Studios is a two-studio facility designed by Tom Hidley. It is built the right way, with separate concrete slabs, walls and cap for each room, and completely separate air conditioning systems for each area. Within the studios, the slabs are further divided under the drum booths and the piano pads, minimizing low frequency transmission to other areas. Acoustic interference is very rare. There is a separate power transformer for the studio to reduce the chance of outside interference. The stone is real, 12" thick, and the oak is 3/4" over 1.5" of base material.
