Loudoun Museum is located in a historic building in downtown Leesburg. Built between 1851-1855, the building itself is rich in history. The museum is full of engaging exhibits and interesting artifacts. The Centuries of Change is a series of three annual enhibits that celebrate Loudoun County. Threads of History is a quarterly exhibit featuring cosmes and needlework. The Discovery Room is dedicated to the kids; modeled after a Quaker home, it has activities, costumes and toys to explore and play with. Children's Colonial Garden demonstrates how natives and colonists used plans, shrubs and trees. Other special events and programs take place throughout the year.
