<p>Emmanuel Baptist Church held its first service in a fire house in 1954 and became affiliated with the Southern Baptist church in 1956. Over the years the church has expanded and now offers worship services as well as missionary work and Emmanuel Christian school, located next door. Emmanuel stresses a literal interpretation of the Bible. The church offers a variety of programs for men, women and children of all ages, as well as services in Spanish.
