Shenandoah University, founded in 1875 in Dayton, Va., offers more than 80 programs of study at the undergraduate, graduate, doctorate and professional levels to more than 3,000 students. Its main campus is located in Winchester, Va., and the institution is a comprehensive Level VI private university. It offers various programs through its college of arts and sciences; school of business; Shenandoah conservatory; school of health professions and pharmacy; and school of continuing education. Shenandoah University provides additional curricular activities to students, including television production facility and recording studio; a full-service theater, dance and music ensembles; athletic facilities; student government and residential services. It is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Virginia Department of Education.
