Northern Virginia Community College is an open access, comprehensive community college offering two-year associate degrees, one-year certificates and career studies certificates programs. It is part of the Virginia Community College System and is governed by the Virginia State Board for Community Colleges. It has campuses located throughout Virginia, including Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas and Woodbridge. It also has a medical education campus in Springfield, Va. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, computers, accounting, social studies, business administration, biology, chemistry, microbiology and physical science. Its student services provides leadership and coordination programs, including college records office, academic advising, counseling, student success, enrollment management, and student recruitment and retention services. It also provides continuing education and community services programs. The college is headquartered in Annandale, Va.
