Founded in 1971, Humanim is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with disabilities and is located in Columbia, Md. It offers a wide range of mental health services, such as crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, group and family therapies, treatment planning and review and therapeutic day programs. It also offers a variety of neurorehabilitation services that include neuropsychological assessment, acute comprehensive rehabilitation, day and residential programs and training seminars for families and professionals. In addition, the organization provides vocational services, including career assessment, job placement and coaching, employment program and supported employment alternatives. Humanim has a student assessment center that provides specialized assessment and treatment to maximize social and academic functioning.
