John B Dey Elementary School

John B. Dey Elementary School, located in Virginia Beach, Va., is a coeducational institution that teaches students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school has a staff of more than 65 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes guidance counselors, reading professionals, media specialists, computer teachers, special and physical education instructors, and art and music professionals. It organizes a variety of cocurricular activities, such as picture days, fall festivals, science fairs, talent shows, theatrical concerts and National School Bus Safety Weeks. The school has business and educational partnerships with Border's Books and Music, SouthTrust Bank, Worrell Market, Purple Cow Restaurant, Mid-Atlantic Grounds Management Corporation and Chick-Fil-A. John B. Dey Elementary School is operated by Virginia Beach City Public Schools, which serves more than 70,000 students and operates over 80 schools.
