Loudoun County

Loudoun County Board of Supervisors is a five-member board that prepares county policies, adopts ordinances, appropriates funds, and approves land rezoning and zoning ordinances. The board appoints an administrator who manages county operations. Loudoun County Board of Supervisors also hires a planning commission that provides recommendations on issues related to land development ordinances, comprehensive planning, future land use policies and capital improvement programs. It also appoints citizens to fill vacancies on various county and regional advisory boards, commissions and committees, such as the Advisory Commission on Youth, Agricultural District Advisory Committee, Community Services Board, Electoral Board and Library Board of Trustees.
