Founded in 1952, W. C. Taylor Middle School provides academic programs with emphasis on the development of basic learning and thinking skills. It serves students in grades six through eight. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 440 students. W. C. Taylor Middle School s academic curriculum includes classes in math, language arts, science and history. The school also provides instructive sessions in music, band, orchestra, chorus, and consumer and family science, as well as physical and technology education. It also offers classes in foreign languages, including Spanish and French. W. C. Taylor Middle School offers sports activities, such as volleyball, football, soccer, cheerleading, basketball and softball. The school maintains a library that provides books, magazines, reference materials, and online search engines and databases. It also has a parent-teacher organization that organizes activity passes and provides discount cards. W. C. Taylor Middle School offers guidance and counseling sessions. The school also has a National FFA Organization for students.
