The Battle Ground Police Department preserves peace and reduces crime through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws and ordinances. It is comprised of more than 30 part- and full-time personnel who handle uniform patrol operation and traffic enforcement. The department operates detective, K-9 and motorcycle units. The Battle Ground Police Department employs a school resource officer and several nonsworn community service officers who handle code enforcement and animal control functions. It provides fingerprinting and concealed weapon licensing services, as well as files traffic accident reports. The department also supports the National Night Out program and a citizens police academy. The Battle Ground Police Department is located in Battleground, Wash.
