Established in 1919, The Church Council of Greater Seattle represents more than 400 churches and over 10 denominations. The council staffs a team of more than 40 people. Its friend to friend program provides health care services in nearly 200 nursing homes, retirement communities and assisted living centers. The Church Council of Greater Seattle s home step program offers housing opportunities to families, men, women and youths. It also works to provide youth development, mental health and compassionate care services. The council operates more than 5 different programs to support the mission of local congregations and provide human services.
