Providing medical, social, and financial service support to the elderly in Vancouver and nearby Washington communities Elfin Services is a family owned and operated business that serves Vancouver, Washington and other communities in Clark County. The business was started in 2001 by Yvonne and Steve Polkow after they had spent several years helping older friends to work through some difficult and complex personal issues. The Polkows realized that there was a great need for high quality advocacy for the elderly, and for experienced, compassionate care management and caregiving. Elfin Services has grown steadily and carefully since its inception. Today, the company employs over 40 Care Managers and Caregivers, and has a client list of over 80. The company provides a diverse range of services to the elderly and others in need. Elfin Services adheres to the highest ethical guidelines including those of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, and the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Elfin Services is a certified Home Care Agency in the State of Washington. Yvonne Polkow is the President of Elfin Services, Inc Her passion is to provide compassionate and capable advocacy for the elderly, with particular concern for end of life issues. Yvonne's personal integrity and fidelity is built on a deeply felt spiritual foundation. Yvonne has an extensive background in business management, finance, administration, insurance, and medical advocacy. In addition to owning and operating three businesses, she has worked in the medical profession in many different capacities. Yvonne holds degrees in Education and Psychology from Southern Oregon College and the University of Portland. She is a Certified Professional Guardian, and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children ( CASA ).
