The Division of Social Science, a part of Pacific Lutheran University, offers a range of educational opportunities to students at bachelor s level. It provides programs in actuarial science, and environmental, legal and global studies. The division administers the Chinese studies program, which offers courses in history, religion, anthropology, music and political science. The Division of Social Science also provides programs in statistics and women's and gender studies. The division conducts an honors program. Also known as PLU, Pacific Lutheran University has an enrollment of more than 3,500 students. Founded in 1890, it is a member of the Associated New American Colleges.
