Built in 1960 and located in Federal Way, Wash., Lakota Middle School operates under the Federal Way School District. The school offers a variety of research-based academic programs for students in grades six through eight. It provides assignments and small instructional groups that offer additional support in reading and math. Lakota Middle School offers an after school program from Monday through Thursday. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, including language arts, social studies, science, physical education and social studies. Its range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities include athletic programs, bands, choirs, orchestra and several clubs, such as international, chess, computer and math clubs. Lakota Middle School has a parent-teacher association that supports a variety of school events and activities.
