Located in Bothell, Wash., the Building Services Division works under the Department of Community Development. It maintains a protective inspections section that is responsible for reviewing applications for building, plumbing, mechanical permits, the field inspection of various building-related construction projects, damage assessment following natural disasters, and code enforcement for zoning, land use and construction-related activities. The division s coordinating and management division works towards the processing of land usage, building and public works permit applications. The Building Services Division also offers permit services that includes project coordination for single-family, multifamily and commercial buildings, as well as provides permits for new construction and remodels, franchise projects and land use applications, such as planned unit developments, conditional use permits and subdivisions.
