Spangle is a town in Spokane County, Washington, United States. The population was 240 at the 2000 census. The name is from William Spangle, early pioneer.
Spangle was first settled in 1872 by William Spangle. The townsite was platted in 1879.
Some people[who?] believe that Spangle is where Butch Cassidy (Robert Leroy Parker) died from cancer in 1937, but the place and date of this individual's death remains unresolved.
