Three Toyota plants in the United States recently celebrated milestones that include the 20-year anniversary of the company s first wholly owned U.S. facility, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky and the 10-year anniversaries of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia. Combined, the three plants employ approximately 13,000 and represent an investment of nearly $8.8 billion. TMMK builds the Camry, Avalon, Solara and a variety of engines. TMMI builds the Tundra, Sequoia and Sienna. TMMWV produces engines and transmissions for the Corolla, Matrix, Camry, Sienna and Lexus RX350. The annual payroll for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia is approximately $70 million. Products include 4-cylinder engines for the Corolla, Matrix and Pontiac Vibe; V6 engines for the Sienna and Solara; and automatic transmissions for the Solara, Sienna, Highlander, Avalon and Lexus RX350.
