Barton Elementary School is located in Milwaukee, Wis. The school was one of the No-Child-Left-Behind Blue Ribbon Schools in the state of Wisconsin for the school year 2003 and 2004 and has received the New Wisconsin Promise Award. The annual enrollment at the school includes more than 500 students. Full-day kindergarten programs and third grade classrooms are part of the S.A.G.E. program. Its state-of-the-art computer laboratory is paired with a library of more than 7,000 titles and a school-wide network allows students to produce and view the weekly Barton News Network broadcast information in each classroom. The school also offers a hands-on science program that is complimented by its partnerships with industrial businesses and health care institutions. Camp Barton is the recreational and educational activity program offered by the school and includes homework help, arts and crafts, gym activities, sports and games and cooking activities.
