Welcome to StateoftheART, a boutique art gallery which aims to inspire a new culture of art buying; where quality fine art is affordable, South African artists are championed and customers can easily find and buy from a curated selection of contemporary art - no matter their taste. StateoftheART brings the gallery experience to you; we offer a 'click-to-buy' service for collectors unable to visit our gallery in person. All of our artists have been carefully selected; instead of showcasing thousands of artists, we choose to represent only a limited number so that you can be sure of the quality of the contemporary art for sale. Importantly, the majority of our proceeds from a sale are given to the artists who create these works, so when you buy art from StateoftheART you’re directly supporting our artists. Our online art platform is complemented by a physical space in Cape Town; you'll find us at 50 Buitenkant Street.
