Geoscience Australia

Geoscience Australia is open to the public from 9am – 5pm on Monday to Friday with free entry and parking. We feature a range of self-guided indoor and outdoor displays. If you want to touch a piece of the moon, get up-close to a 4.5 billion year old meteorite, view minerals in every colour of the rainbow or travel back in time along the Geological TimeWalk, be sure to add this hidden gem of a tourist attraction to your list of sites to explore in Canberra. Meals and refreshments are also available from the Blackstone Café. Geoscience Australia is Australia’s pre-eminent public sector geoscience organisation. We apply science and technology to describe and understand the Earth for the benefit of Australia. This contributes to a safer, more prosperous and well-informed nation.
