Bancroft is a village in Shiawassee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 616 at the 2000 census. The village is located in the southeast part of Shiawassee Township. It was incorporated as a village in 1883.

The racial makeup of the village was 96.43% White, 0.32% Native American, 0.16% from other races, and 3.08% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.14% of the population.
