Rolesville is a small town nestled in northeastern Wake County, North Carolina, United States just outside the capital city of Raleigh. It is the second oldest town in Wake County and one of the fastest growing towns in the State of North Carolina for the past several years.
In 2012, Rolesville will be celebrating its 175th Anniversary. Rolesville was first incorporated on January 18, 1837 by the North Carolina Legislature.
The population was 3,112 at the 2009 census. As with surrounding Wake County, North Carolina, the City of Rolesville was experiencing rapid growth both before and after the 2000 census. An estimate made by the town government, based on approved developments, projected the population to be 7,813 residents by 2010. There are three properties in Rolesville that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Dr. Lawrence Branch Young House, Green-Hartsfield House and the Heartsfield-Perry Farm.
