Whitakers ( /hwɪtəkərz/) is a town in Edgecombe and Nash Counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is divided between the two counties by railroad tracks and is the northernmost town in the two counties. It is part of the Rocky Mount, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 773 in 2008.
Whitakers is located at 36°6′21″N 77°42′49″W / 36.10583°N 77.71361°W / 36.10583; -77.71361 (36.105951, -77.713582).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of .81 square miles (2.1 km²), all land.
