Elyria Engineering Department

The Auditor s Office is governed by the City of Elyria in Ohio. It is responsible for fiscal administration and the management of debt programs. The department is involved in the preparation and administration of city s operating budget and capital outlay. It specializes in the areas of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, internal auditing, fixed assets, cash management and financial reporting functions. The Auditor s Office also prepares annual financial reports, analyses investment alternatives and performs year-end closings. In partnership with the Regional Income Tax Agency, it additionally manages the collection and administration of income tax revenues and enforcement of tax codes.
